Water is Life - Take the pledge with me

I believe water is an equal right to all human beings, animals and plants. Water is vital for life on earth, yet millions still do not have access to clean water. Today, 1.8 billion people use a source of drinking water contaminated with faeces, putting them at risk of contracting cholera, dysentery, typhoid and polio.
Therefore I immediately said "Yes, of course!" When my fellow Climate Reality Leader Raj Phukan sent an email from India asking for mine and A Win Win Worlds support and participation for Walk for Water on World Water Day, March 22. Walk on water is a great initiative truly determined to improve lives by increasing awareness, minimizing wastage, promoting rainwater harvesting and the purification of recycled and contaminated water.
For me, who is sharing my time between Sweden and Silicon Valley, it is easy to see the difference and what the access of water brings to our life. Coming from having fresh tapwater that tastes amazing and enjoying the clear blue ocean at the Westcoast of Sweden, to California who has been in severe drought for several years - it brings perspective. Water is not to be taken for granted. It should be. But for many people, countries and parts of our planet - it is not. If you have clear water. Cherish it. Save it. Conserve it. Act wisely. And take the water pledge with me. Together we can save millions of liters and lives.
